Women's Volleyball
Four teams are still in contention for the 2009 Big West title and an automatic NCAA Tournament berth, making for an intriguing week of Big West volleyball ahead. Match of the Week might just be the one to decide the Big West title, as UC Irvine travels to Long Beach State on Saturday. Both teams enter the week atop the standings with identical 10-4 records. When these teams met in early October in Irvine, the 'Eaters handed the 49ers a five-set loss. Before they face off on Saturday, each will have to face a test at home: UCI hosts Cal State Fullerton on Friday, while Long Beach State welcomes UC Riverside to the Pyramid.
Don't forget Senior Nights across the conference this week! Thank your seniors for all their hard work and dedication. The Big West thanks them, too.
All home matches are scheduled to be broadcast on BigWest.TV with the exception of the UC Irvine-Cal State Fullerton match.
