Big West Unveils 37-Game ESPN3 Basketball Package

ESPN3 Basketball Schedule

For the sixth consecutive year, the Big West Conference will provide thorough basketball coverage through its ESPN3 digital platform, featuring a minimum of 37 men’s and women’s games during the 2018-19 schedule.
A minimum of 20 men’s and three women’s regular season games will be streamed on ESPN3.  Three additional men’s or women’s “Wild Card” matchups will be determined three weeks prior to game dates on January 31, February 9 and February 28.
Eleven Big West Tournament games will also be included in the package.  The entire women’s tournament will appear on ESPN3, including both first round and quarterfinal games at UC Irvine’s Bren Events Center, and culminating with the semifinals and championship game from Honda Center.  Four men’s quarterfinal games on Thursday, March 14 will also be featured on the network.
All games will be produced through the Big West’s mobile production facility, commencing on Saturday, January 5 with a women’s showdown between reigning regular season champion UC Davis and UC Riverside inside the SRC Arena.
The initial men’s broadcast pits CSUN against UC Riverside on Wednesday, January 9 at SRC Arena.
Featured games in the package include a rematch of last year’s Big West Women’s Tournament finals when UC Davis travels to CSUN on Thursday, January 24.  The two participants in last year’s men’s tourney championship game, Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine, reconvene in an Orange County showdown inside the Bren Events Center on Wednesday, February 6.
UC Davis, the defending men’s regular season champion, will make a minimum of three appearances in the package with returning Big West Player of the Year – senior guard TJ Shorts II.
