NO. 3 HAWAI‘I WINS 23-STRAIGHT
After a perfect weekend at the Queen’s Cup, No. 3 Hawai‘i has won 23-straight matches, a program-record while 14 of those wins have been sweeps. UH has dropped just a single point in 12 matches. The Sandbows are also just a win shy of tying the single-season program record for wins, set by last year’s squad with 29. The ‘Bows host their final regular season competition Saturday and Sunday as they host Arizona State and Boise State. UH will celebrate senior night on Sunday.The Sandbows have not been ranked lower than the top 3 all season.
IN THE RANKS
For the second-straight week, Cal Poly appears in the top-5 in the AVCA national poll. The Mustangs cracked the top-5 for the first time last week. No. 5 CP, No. 3 UH and No. 6 Long Beach State have received a ranking in the top-8 for the duration of the 2018 season.
The Big West Tournament hits Queen’s Beach at the end of the month.
