TJ DeFalco and Simon Anderson helped keep Long Beach State remain undefeated, while Patrick Gasman aided Hawaii's return to the win column.
TJ DeFALCO, LONG BEACH STATE – PLAYER OF THE WEEK

➜ Long Beach State junior TJ DeFalco captured his second Big West Men’s Volleyball Player of the Week honor after averaging 4.56 kills per set in a pair of victories over No. 4 UC Irvine.
➜ The 6-foot-4 outside hitter led the Beach with a combined 41 kills in the two wins. He also registered 15 digs (1.67 per set), six service aces (0.67 per set) and 10 total blocks (1.11 per set) in two all-around solid performances.
➜ DeFalco had 22 kills in a five-set win at the Walter Pyramid, improving LBSU to 20-0 overall. He hit .326 (22-7-46) for the match to go along with five aces, seven digs and five blocks (two solo).
➜ DeFalco slammed 19 kills on .333 hitting in the rematch at Bren Events Center, a four-set Beach victory. He added eight digs, five blocks (one solo) and an ace.
➜ The 41 kills are the most DeFalco has had in back-to-back matches this season.

PATRICK GASMAN, HAWAI‘I – DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

➜ Hawai‘i sophomore Patrick Gasman secured his first career Big West Men’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honor as he averaged 1.50 blocks per set in a two-match sweep of UC San Diego.
➜ The 6-foot-10 middle blocker was key in holding the Tritons to .070 hitting in the series, including .013 on Saturday.
➜ Gasman was involved in nine of the team’s 17 blocks over the two matches. He had five in the first meeting and four more in the rematch.
➜ Gasman also averaged 1.33 kills per set and hit .353 (8-2-17) against the Tritons.

SIMON ANDERSON, LONG BEACH STATE – FRESHMAN PLAYER OF THE WEEK

➜ Simon Anderson earned his seventh Big West Men’s Volleyball Freshman Player of the Week award with all-around contributions in Long Beach State’s two wins over UC Irvine.
➜ The 6-foot-8 middle blocker hit .435 with 12 kills and just two errors in 23 attempts as LBSU won a five-setter and a four-setter against UCI.
➜ Anderson averaged 0.67 blocks for the series, including four in the win at UCI.
➜ He notched seven kills on .385 hitting in the five-set win and hit .500 with no errors in the rematch.
