The Titans will compete in the final of the Big West Tournament for the first time since 2008, the last time they made the NCAA Tournament.
CSF (19-11) held UC Davis (22-10) to just 12 points over the last 14:05 of the game to secure the victory. It was a wild finish with a lot of fouls committed and free throws but the Titans found a way, wiht the team's lone senior Arkim Robertson grabbing a defensive rebound and drawing a foul with 0.4 seconds left to secure the win. UC Irvine Advances To Big West Title Game With 61-58 Win Over UC Santa Barbara
It came down to the final minute as guard Eyassu Worku hit the game-winning jumper with 45 seconds showing on the clock to give UC Irvine a 61-58 victory over UC Santa Barbara in a Big West Tournament semifinal Friday night at the Honda Center. UCI (18-16) will play Cal State Fullerton (19-11) in an all-Orange County final Saturday night at 9 p.m. The Anteaters and Titans split a pair of contests during the regular season.
