Fluker Earns 10th Career Player of the Week Award

Junior • Center • Pasadena, Calif. • Maranatha HS

Fluker notched the third triple-double in CSUN history in Saturday’s 67-62 win over Seattle at The Matadome.  She compiled 28 points, 16 rebounds and a school single-game record 13 blocked shots.

The 6-4 center replaced Camille Mahlknecht in the Matador record book for the blocked shots record.  Mahlknecht had 11 blocks against Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 8, 2014.

The 13 blocks are the most by a Division I player this season, and were only three away from the Division I record for most in a game.  Sandora Irvin of TCU had 16 blocks versus UAB on Jan. 16, 2005.

Fluker is one of just 13 players in NCAA Division I to have recorded a triple-double this season.

Fluker drained a career-high 14 free throws (in a career-high 17 attempts) against the Redhawks, the 11th highest total by a Division I player this season.

She averaged 29.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 8.0 blocked shots in two wins.  CSUN also defeated Biola, 68-51, in which she posted 30 points, 10 rebounds and three blocked shots.

Others nominated: Dynn Leaupepe (Cal Poly); Jade Vega (Cal State Fullerton); Cecily Wilson (Long Beach State); Lauren Saiki (UC Irvine); Michelle Curry (UC Riverside); Sarah Porter (UC Santa Barbara); Sarah Toeaina (Hawai‘i)
