Familiar Faces Capture Women's Volleyball Honors
Adlee Van Winden, Emily Maglio and Mahalia White all captured their second women’s volleyball weekly honor this season.
Van Winden Leads Mustangs To Rivalry Win
Cal Poly junior Adlee Van Winden (Napa, Calif./Vintage HS) notched Big West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after an all-around solid performance against conference rival UC Santa Barbara.
The 6-1 outside hitter finished with 18 kills, seven digs and seven blocks to help the Mustangs defeat the Gauchos in four sets.
Van Winden hit .375 with just three errors in 40 attempts. She added an ace to her stat line.
Cal Poly extended its winning streak to 12 straight in its lone match of the week.

Maglio Dominates At Net In Pair Of Wins
Recording a team-high 18 blocks in a pair of road wins, Hawai‘i senior Emily Maglio (Coquitlam, B.C., Canada (Pinetree HS) earned her second straight Big West Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week nod.
The 6-3 middle hitter notched her fourth career honor after averaging 2.00 blocks per set as the Rainbow Wahine defeated Long Beach State in four and CSUN in five.
Maglio tied her career high for the third straight match with 10 blocks (three solo) against the Beach. She added a match-high 14 kills on .321 hitting for her second straight career double-double.
She leads the Big West with 114 total blocks and 1.54 blocks per set.

White Repeats With Freshman Award
UC Davis outside hitter Mahalia White (Canoga Park, Calif./Chatsworth Charter HS) earned her second straight Big West Women’s Volleyball Freshman Player of the Week award with a combined 34 kills in two road wins.
White averaged 3.78 kills and 0.67 digs per set to help the Aggies win in four over UC Riverside and a marathon five-setter versus Cal State Fullerton. She hit .298 (34-9-84) against the two opponents.
She had 15 kills and three digs on .297 hitting against UCR. She tallied a team-high 19 kills against the Titans, hitting .298 for the match. She added another three digs for good measure.
