Sicard Looks To Hurdle Into Finals:
UC Irvine senior Lloyd Sicard, a two-time Honorable Mention All-American in the 110 meter hurdles, makes his third straight trek to the NCAA Championships seeking national glory.  The Big West champion for three straight years in the event, Sicard finished with the fourth-fastest West Preliminary time in 13.60 seconds, which matched his own school record.  He is just the third individual in Big West history to win the event three times.

Cooks Returns To Heptathlon Event: The Big West will have two competitors in the heptathlon for the first time since 2010 as seniors Riley Cooks of Long Beach State and UC Santa Barbara’s Tori Usgaard display their talents.  Cooks is making her second trip to nationals after finishing 20th overall in 2016.  She ranks No. 12 in the country this year with 5,671 points attained at the Big West Championship.
