Cal State Fullerton senior Martina Edberg was named a Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Second Team All-American, it was announced by the organization on Tuesday at the 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship.

Edberg recently competed in her first NCAA Division I Golf Championship at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill., competing play on Monday and tying for 50th in the standings. The Glumslov, Sweden, native fired her best round of the tournament, even-par 72, to move up 25 spots on the leaderboard in the third and final round.

The senior finished the tournament with a three-round score of 16-over-par 232 as her successful collegiate career at Cal State Fullerton came to a close.

Edberg is the first Titan to earn All-American honors since the program was reinstated for the 2009-10 season, and she was also the first CSF women's golfer to reach the NCAA championship as an individual.

The 2017 Big West Conference individual champion and 2017 Big West Player of the Year, Edberg has a 71.86 scoring average, a new Cal State Fullerton single-season record.  She is the first Big West player to earn All-America status since Paige Lee of UC Davis in 2015.
