BIG WEST AT A GLANCE

UCI REMAINS UNDEFEATED IN LEAGUE

At 3-0, UC Irvine remains undefeated in league and looks to claim the No. 1 seed in the Big West Tournament in addition to the regular season title. The ’Eaters have won league six times since the Big West began sponsoring the sport in 2009 and have been named the conference tournament champion five times (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015). UCI is the only team to ever finish a season undefeated and it has accomplished the feat three times: 2011, 2012, 2015.   The ’Eaters will host the Aggies Saturday at noon.

HAWAI‘I IN THE HUNT
At 3-2, Hawai‘i looks to remain in the hunt for what would be its second regular season title after the Rainbow Wahine claimed league in 2013 with a 6-1 record in Big West play.

HOST RESPONSIBILITIES
For the last two years, the Big West Tournament host claimed the Tournament title and the automatic NCAA Tournament bid after Hawai‘i hosted and hoisted the cup in 2015 and UC Santa Barbara in 2016. Last year was also UCSB’s first-ever trip to the Big Dance.  All eyes are on UC Davis to see if it can continue the streak in 2017.
