Cal State Fullerton, off to an impressive 5-0 start, looks to continue its hot early season start in San Diego at the Campbell/Cartier Classic. It's one of five tournaments on the docket for the second week of softball.

Mustangs Face A Familiar Foe: Fresh off a win over a Pac-12 team (Oregon) a week ago, Cal Poly heads to the Stanford Nike Invitational where it will face former Big West rival Pacific on Friday and Saturday. The Mustangs will also play No. 14 Stanford and Bradley over the three-day tourney.

Cal State Fullerton Grabbing Votes: Thanks to a 5-0 week, which included a win over No. 2 Oklahoma, Cal State Fullerton is receiving votes is both the ESPN/USA Softball and USA Today/NFCA polls.
CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE
CSUN Downs The Beavers: The Matadors defeated Oregon State last week, 3-2, to up their all-time record against the Beavers to 18-7-1. It was the first win against OSU since 2004.
LONG BEACH STATE
Calling All Bats: LBSU’s offense picked up where it left off last season during the first week of play. The 49ers slugged .500, hit five homers, collected five doubles and had seven players record three or more hits over the first five games.
Rivalry Week: UC Davis plays regional rivals Pacific and Sacramento State this week, its first two home games of the 2014 season. That won’t be their only action of the week as the club heads to Los Angeles over the weekend for the Stacy Winsburg Memorial Tournament hosted by UCLA.
Scored Early and Often: UC Riverside scored 10 runs and banged out 15 hits in its 11-10 loss to New Mexico State on February 8. It is the most runs scored since an 11-run outburst against Long Beach State on March 29, 2013, and the most hits tallied since putting up 16 against Idaho State on March 4, 2011. It was also the most runs scored for the team in a loss since a 13-11 defeat to Boise State on February 25, 2011.
UC SANTA BARBARA
Seeing Them Again: UC Santa Barbara wrapped up the Gaucho Classic I against Cal State Bakersfield, but will see the Roadwinners two more times this weekend. UCSB and CSUB will join Sacramento State, Southern Utah and host Fresno State at the Fresno State Kickoff.
Bright Lights Of Sin City: Hawai‘i will make its annual trip to Las Vegas to play in the Easton Classic hosted by UNLV. The Rainbow Wahine will play UTEP, Florida, Seattle, Portland State, Nevada and Utah over the four days of competition.
