UC Davis, UC Irvine Duo Advance To NCAA Tournament

NCAA Women's Golf Championship
The NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Committee announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the 2013 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Regionals and the four-time defending Big West champion UC Davis women's golf team, along with a pair of UC Irvine players, were tabbed.
The Aggies are seeded sixth in the central region and will compete at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman, Okla., May 9-11. They are in the NCAA Regional for the fifth time in six seasons at the Div. I level but are being sent out of the west region for the first time.
Anteaters Luciane Lee and Michelle Park received at-large berths into the NCAA tournament and are slated to compete at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif., as part of the west regional. Park, who tied for seventh at the Big West Women's Golf Championship, own a team-best 75.3 stroke average while Luciane Lee is second with a 76.0 mark.
Seventy-two teams and 18 individuals were selected for regional competition at three sites, which includes the east regional at Auburn University Club in Auburn, Ala.
Eight teams and two individuals from each regional will move on to the national finals which are scheduled for May 21-24 at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.
