Cal State Northridge senior Violet Alama was selected Big West Women's Basketball Player of the Week as she averaged a double-double in a loss to Pacific and win against UC Davis.
The 6-1 forward posted averages of 14.0 points and 10.5 rebounds while shooting 44.0 (11 of 25) percent from the field.
In a 74-56 loss to the Tigers, Alama had a season-high 15 points and 13 rebounds to secure her first double-double of the year.
Two days later, Alama notched 13 points on 6 of 13 shooting and added eight rebounds in a 51-49 comeback win versus the Aggies. Alama has recorded double-digit rebounds in three of the last four games.
