Cal Poly holds on to the top spot by one point after suffering their first loss this season last week to Cal State Fullerton (4-0) and a double-overtime draw against UC Riverside (1-1).  The Mustangs finish the season this week against UC Santa Barbara looking to capture the Big West title for the first time since the 2009 season.

Goalie Alyssa Giannetti recorded 15 saves in last week’s contest to put her at 113 total saves this season nabbing the ninth spot in the Big West all-time single season record book for saves.

Anyone’s Game
Cal State Northridge battled back last week collecting two wins against Pacific and UC Davis to tie for second place going into the final week of conference matchups.  UC Irvine holds the other spot at No. 2 as the two will faceoff Friday to claim sole possession.

UC Irvine came out with a double-overtime win last week in its game against Long Beach State with less than a minute to play before called a draw.  The Anteaters take on Northridge (10/26) and Hawai’i (10/28) this week looking for two wins in hopes to defend their title and three-peat as regular season champs.

Cal State Northridge goalkeeper, Cynthia Jacobo has recorded 267 saves over her career to clinch the ninth spot in Big West all-time career records. The senior has a total 22 shutouts tied for eighth all-time and a goals against average of .58 so far, which is third in all-time Big West single season records.
