Big West Conference Reprimands Men's Soccer Coach

Big West Conference Commissioner Dennis Farrell reprimanded UC Riverside Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach Tim Cupello for comments he made following a conference match on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012.
   
At the conclusion of the game, Cupello confronted the match officials in a manner that led to him being issued a post-match red card.  He then issued a post-match tweet that further criticized the officials.

Farrell noted that both the post-match confrontation and public criticism of officials are contrary to sportsmanship regulations outlined in the Big West Bylaws.
