This Week in the Big West - May 28-June 3, 2012
5/29/2012
It's all NCAA from here on out. The week starts with men's golfer Philip Chian of Long Beach State playing as an individual at the NCAA Championships and continues through the weekend with Big West baseball champs Cal State Fullerton headed to the postseason for the 21st-straight year.
Baseball
Cal State Fullerton earned the outright Big West championship over the weekend, and will head to a pair of reunions at the Eugene Regional this Friday through Monday (if necessary). Former Titans coach George Horton is the head man at host Oregon now, while former Titan infielder Ronnie Prettyman is an assistant with Indiana State. Both helped Cal State Fullerton to the 2004 NCAA National Championship.
The Titans will open on Friday facing Indiana State, while Oregon and Austin Peay are the other teams in the regional.
