Long Beach State's Anais Dallara joins Cal Poly's Andre Dome and Matt Fawcett as Big West representatives at the 2012 NCAA Men's and Women's Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships, May 23-28 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga. and hosted by the University of Georgia.

Dallara is competing as one of 64 players in the women's tennis singles bracket.  Ranked No. 102 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, Dallara is paired against No. 24 Mary Anne Macfarlane of Alabama in first round action.  Their match takes place at 10:00 a.m. (PDT) on Wednesday, May 23.

The winner meets either No. 47 Mary Weatherholt of Nebraska or No. 13 Zsofi Susanyi of California in the second round on Thursday, May 24.

Dallara, the 2012 Big West Women's Tennis Player of the Year, posted an 18-6 spring dual match record playing primarily No. 1 singles for the 49ers.  The senior became the school's all-time leader in both career singles wins (98) and combined wins (189) earlier this season.  Her 30 victories over both the fall and spring seasons represents an LBSU record as well.

She is the third 49er to participate in the singles championships.  Jing Chen advanced to the second round in 1998, while four-time Big West Player of the Year Hannah Grady made appearances in 2006 and 2008.

On the men's side, Dome begins competition in the 64-player singles championship on Wednesday, May 23 at 8:30 a.m. (PDT).  The Cal Poly junior opens the tournament against No. 3 national seed and ranked Eric Quigley of Kentucky.

Dome, the 2012 Big West Player of the Year, forged a 16-4 record at No. 1 singles for the conference regular season and tournament champion Mustangs.  Dome notched a 7-0 record and did not drop a set against Big West opponents.  He defeated six nationally ranked opponents including No. 43 Georgy Batrakov of BYU and No. 44 Matija Pecotic of Princeton.  Dome enters the NCAA Championship ranked No. 41 nationally by the ITA.

Should Dome win his first round match, he would face either No. 30 Finn Tearney of Pepperdine or No. 18 Andreas Mies of Auburn in the second round on Thursday, May 24.

Dome also is competing in the doubles championship with partner Matt Fawcett.  The No. 68-ranked duo faces No. 13 Nik Scholtz and Jonas Lutjen of Mississippi in first round action on Thursday, May 24.  Dome and Fawcett, a first-team All-Big West selection in doubles, owned a 10-1 record at the No. 1 position for Cal Poly.  They defeated a pair of ranked opponents in No. 34 Matt Spindler and Matt Siow of Princeton and No. 78 Remi Boutillier and Francis Alcantara of Fresno State.
