The Spring Championships season has wrapped with just one remaining Big West title to be decided in 2011-12 as Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State jockey for the baseball crown with just two weeks remaining.  Meanwhile, it's NCAA time for back-to-back Big West men's golf champs UC Davis, Long Beach State and three individuals.  Long Beach State softball will also head to NCAA Regional play this weekend.

Baseball

The final weeks of the 2011-12 season heat up as Cal State Fullerton (14-4) tries to hold on for another Big West title, with rivals Long Beach State (12-6) close behind.

Cal State Fullerton owns a two-game lead on Long Beach State with six remaining as the Big West baseball race winds down.  Both teams need to guard against looking ahead to the regular season finale May 25-27 at Blair Field where the regular season title could be determined.

Once again, select home contests will be broadcast by institutions on BigWest.TV, the conference's video streaming initiative in partnership with CBS College Sports.

Golf

Back-to-back Big West champs UC Davis head to Stanford, California to take part in the NCAA Regionals beginning on Thursday, May 17, while at-large bid and Big West runners-up Long Beach State will play at Athens, Georgia.

Big West Player of the Year and individual champion Alex Edfort of Pacific and Allen Jun of UC Irvine will compete as individuals at the Stanford Regional, with Chris Russo of Cal State Northridge headed to Greensboro, North Carolina.

Softball

Big West champions Long Beach State are headed back to Tempe, Arizona for NCAA Regional play after capturing the conference title in their final league game of the year.  The 49ers will face Syracuse to open play on Friday, May 18 in a regional hosted by No. 3 overall seed Arizona State, with LIU-Brooklyn the fourth team in the bracket.
