Sandoval Leads 49ers to Doubleheader Sweep at Cal State Fullerton

Karli Sandoval had five hits to lead Long Beach State to a 5-1 and 5-2 doubleheader sweep of Cal State Fullerton at the Anderson Family Field in Big West Conference action on Saturday.

Gauchos Go the Distance, Sweep Pair Against Cal Poly

Trailing 4-3 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning, it looked as though UC Santa Barbra was going to have to settle for a split during Saturday afternoon's doubleheader against Cal Poly, but junior Keilani Jennings' solo home run tied the game and Jenessa Jeppesen's fifth hit of the day drove in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth as the Gauchos captured the sweep.

Vela Shuts Down Pacific To Give Aggies 3-0 Win

Kelly Harman posted three hits, including two RBI doubles while Justine Vela tossed a complete game shutout with just four hits as the UC Davis softball team took a 3-0 win and a series victory at Pacific on Saturday morning at Bill Simoni Field.

The Cal State Northridge softball team (10-38, 5-12 Big West) lost twice to UC Riverside Saturday afternoon in a Big West doubleheader at Amy S. Harrison Field.
