Cal Poly Evens Big West Series Against UC Davis With 12-7 Victory

Mitch Haniger's two-run seventh-inning home run tied the game at 6-6 and Cal Poly erupted for five runs in the eighth inning en route to a 12-7 victory over UC Davis in a Big West Conference baseball game Saturday afternoon at Dobbins Stadium.

Freshman Jerry Keel pitched eight strong innings and struck out a career-high six batters as the Cal State Northridge Matadors (20-22, 7-7 Big West) defeated the UC Riverside Highlanders (15-26, 4-10 Big West) 7-3 to clinch the series at the Riverside Sports Complex on Saturday night.
