Postseason play for men's and women's basketball takes center stage this week as March Madness continues for three men's teams and five women's teams. Meanwhile, spring sports hit their stride in non-conference play.
Baseball
Cal State Fullerton, fresh off its second series victory over a ranked opponent, returns home this week to face Big West rival Long Beach State for three games that will count in the overall but not the conference standings. The Titans are ranked in the top 10 for the first time this season, checking in at No. 8 in theCollegiate Baseball poll.
Once again, select home contests will be broadcast by institutions on BigWest.TV, the conference's video streaming initiative in partnership with CBS College Sports.

Big West champion Long Beach State earned the No. 12 seed and drew No. 5 seed New Mexico in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Meanwhile, Cal State Fullerton and UC Santa Barbara earned bids to the fourth annual CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament (CIT), which begins this week with 16 first round games.

Big West Tournament champs UC Santa Barbara head to Bowling Green, Ohio as the No. 16 seed to take on No. 1 Baylor in the Des Moines Region in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Meanwhile, Big West regular season champion Cal Poly, Cal State Northridge, Pacific and UC Davis each received a bid in this year’s WNIT.

Softball
Home tournaments dominate the schedule again with Cal State Fullerton hosting the Judi Garman Classic and UC Santa Barbara taking on their own Gaucho Classic II.

The UC Santa Barbara men, who dispatched No. 22 Texas Tech for one of the biggest wins in program history, joins Cal Poly as the top two teams in Big West men's tennis. The Mustangs recently reeled off eight straight wins.

Cal State Northridge hopes to extend its six-match win streak at the Aztec Invitational with two of its four contests against top 20 opponents. The Matadors are ranked a season-best No. 12 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association poll.
