Consistency paid off for Betsy Sedlak and the UC Davis Aggies, as the middle blocker guided the Aggies to a 2-0 week which kept their perfect home record intact at 2-0. For her efforts, Sedlak was named Big West Women's Volleyball Player of the Week.
In Friday's 3-1 victory over UC Santa Barbara, the Pleasanton, Calif., native notched 13 kills and seven block assists, while posting a .300 hitting percentage. Sedlak also recorded three digs.
The following night versus Cal Poly, Sedlak tied a career-high with 19 kills and added two blocks (1 solo, 1 assist) in the five-set win over the Mustangs. In the decisive fifth-set, she hit an errorless 4-for-6, including three kills on the Aggies' first four points, to lead UC Davis to a 15-8 victory.
For the week, Sedlak averaged 3.56 kills and 1.00 blocks per set, while hitting .342.
