Soccer teams hit the road for tournament action while women's volleyball sees teams finally return home this week. Plenty of ranked opponents line both schedules as the fall seasons head towards conference play.
Cross Country
UC Riverside will be the Big West team hosting a meet this weekend when Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge and UC Santa Barbara visit the Highlanders for the annual UC Riverside Invitational Saturday. Meanwhile, Long Beach State will travel south to San Diego for the Aztec Invite while Pacific runs for the second weekend in a row, this time at the Mills Cross Country Invite in Oakland.

Men's Soccer
Tournament action dominates the Big West schedule this week with No. 5 UC Irvine, Cal Poly and UC Davis involved in action across the country. The Anteaters head to Florida to compete in the South Florida Tournament against Florida Gulf Coast and host South Florida. Meanwhile, Cal Poly will head to the University of Akron Tournament in Ohio to take on Syracuse Friday and defending NCAA champions Akron on Sunday. UC Davis takes their 4-match unbeaten streak to Illinois to square off against host Northwestern and 6-0 Northern Illinois.
The Anteaters, 6-0 for the first time in their history, have achieved their highest national ranking ever. No. 6 UC Santa Barbara will take their 4-0-1 record to UCLA Friday, while Cal State Fullerton, also 4-0-1, heads across the country to Virginia to meet American and George Mason.
UC Riverside is the lone team to host two matches at home this week, Friday against UNLV and Sunday versus San Jose State.
For the seventh year, select games will be broadcast by the institutions on BigWest.TV, the conference's video streaming initiative in partnership with CBS College Sports.

Women's Soccer
The Big West's longest current win streak belongs to UC Davis, winners of four straight and 5-1 overall. The Aggies take part in the OSU Nike Invitational this weekend with matchups against Oregon and host Oregon State on tap. Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside are also in tournament action, both traveling to Albuquerque, New Mexico to face the host Lobos and North Texas.
UC Irvine returns home for a single match against Saint Mary's Friday, with Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara and Long Beach State also hosting home matches.

Women's Volleyball
It's a homecoming for the teams of the Big West, with three hosting tournaments and individual non-conference home games for a majority of the conference. One final weekend of non-conference play remains before the race for the Big West title begins on Wednesday, September 21!
