Larry Anderson (Long Beach, Calif./Jordan HS) helped Long Beach State extend its winning streak to six games with a pair of home wins and captured the Big West Men's Basketball Player of the Week award.

Anderson averaged 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game as the 49ers defeated UC Riverside (68-55) and Montana (74-56) in a Sears BracketBusters game on ESPN2.  The guard shot 55.0 percent (11 of 20) from the field and 80.0 percent (8 of 10) at the charity stripe for the week.

Against UC Riverside, Anderson posted his sixth career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.  He added three assists, a block and three steals to supplement the stat line.

In the nationally televised victory over the Grizzlies, Anderson made 6 of 8 shots, including 2 of 3 from distance, en route to a 17-point effort.  The junior played much of the first half at point guard while normal starter Casper Ware was relegated to the bench due to foul trouble.
