NCAA Postpones Start of Men's Swim Championships
The NCAA has postponed the start of the 2010 NCAA Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships until Friday at noon per a ruling by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, it was announced Wednesday evening by assistant director of championships Maisha Palmer.
Eighteen student-athletes and one coach have been treated at the Ohio State University Medical Center and the Ohio State Sports Medicine Center for a possible gastrointestinal illness. In lieu of competition beginning Thursday at noon, the start of the championships has been delayed 24 hours.
The Big West has two student-athletes at the men's national championships in Cal Poly's Peter Kline and UC Davis' Scott Weltz.
