Cal State Northridge’s
Whitney Delgado (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Thousand Oaks HS) scored 15 goals in four games at the Cal Lutheran Invitational to secure Big West Women’s Water Polo Player of the Week accolades.
She turned in her best performance against No. 6 Arizona State, scoring a career-high six goals. Delgado did everything she could to lead the Matadors to the upset, but they lost 10-8.
Delgado also scored multiple goals in wins over Cal Lutheran, Pomona-Pitzer and Villanova. She had four against Cal Lutheran.
For the season, Delgado is averaging 2.2 goals per game, having scored 42 goals in 19 games.
