Former Long Beach State golfer John Mallinger finished third on Sunday at the PGA AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Mallinger, a 2001 graduate and two-time Big West All-Conference team member, shot a final round 71 to finish behind Phil Mickelson and Kevin Sutherland. It was just the fourth PGA tournament appearance for Mallinger. He earned his tour card this past December through the PGA Tour Qualifying School.
