Cal State Northridge's Moshier Goes Deep On Pacific Pitching

Cal State Northridge sophomore Jan Moshier (Kenmore, WA/Inglemoor HS) was named the Big West Player of the Week as her prowess for the extra base hit helped the Matadors to a sweep of conference foe Pacific.

Moshier walloped Tiger pitching to the tune of four hits in five at-bats, all of those hits going for extra bases. She scored twice and drove in seven runs while finishing the week with a slugging percentage of 2.400.

After sitting out the first game of the series, Moshier went 2-for-2 with a run scored and two RBI in a 5-4 victory in game two. She had an RBI double in the second inning to give the Matadors a 1-0 lead and she added a home run in the fourth to tie the game at two. The catcher slammed her second home run of the series, and third of the year, to provide the winning runs in CSUN's 9-1 win on Sunday. Moshier went 2-for-3 with a run scored and five RBI for the game.
