The UC Irvine men's and women's swimming and diving teams each handily defeated the Cal State Northridge Matadors at the Anteater Aquatics Complex. The UCI women defeated CSUN 182-101, while the men defeated the Matadors 189-80.
In the women's meet, the Anteaters were victorious in 12 of the 16 events. Junior Kim Do (Milpitas HS) won the 100 back (59.37) and the 50 free (25.03). Sophomore diver Franny Brittle (Aliso Niguel HS) won both the one-meter (197.03) and the three-meter (203.78) diving competitions. Sophomore Lara Bjargardottir (Reykjavik, Iceland) won both the 100 breast (1:05.30) and the 500 free (5:03.37).
On the men's side, the Anteaters won all 16 events competed. Freshman Roman Zarasua (Clovis/Buchanan HS) won both the 1000 free (9:57.77) and the 500 free (4:55.15). Senior Phil Garcia (Servite HS) won the 50 free (21.57) and the 100 free (47.78). Sophomore Anton Slobounov (State College, PA/State College Area HS) won both the one-meter (286.73) and the three-meter (289.87) diving competitions.

UCSB Clutch Another Victory
The UC Santa Barbara Men's swimming team won their last home meet of regular season today against a strong UNLV team today with a score of 135- 127. Many UCSB fans and parents made it out to Campus Pool today to cheer on the swimming team and recognize the seniors in their last home meet as Gauchos. Seniors recognized included Eric Koch, Shaun Crossman, Gavin Kelly, Brian Mirkovich, and David Robinson.
