1. Golden Spikes Watch List Includes UCI’s Pallante

USA Baseball unveiled its list of 55 amateur baseball players to make its Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List with the inclusion of junior starter Andre Pallante. Full Story


2. Dino Fires No Hitter To Shutout St. Mary’s

The University of Hawai’i softball team (4-1, 0-0 Big West) swept its two games to conclude the 2019 Hawai’i Paradise Classic on Saturday night at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium. In the first game, freshman pitcher Izzy Dino fired a six-inning, no-hit shutout.

3. The Big West Celebrated National Girls and Women In Sports Day

The Big West Conference celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day this February and honors all of the women who dedicate their time, energy and talent to the game.  Full Story


4. LBSU, UH Men’s Volleyball Successful Starts To 2019

A 3-0 sweep of Ohio State to close out the AVCA Showcase gave No. 1 Long Beach State its 12th straight win of the season, but also marked the 32nd straight victory inside the Walter Pyramid for the Beach, which ties the program’s longest home winning streak. Having not lost a match inside the Pyramid in nearly three years, the Beach have now tied the program record for most consecutive home victories. Full Story

The second-ranked University of Hawai’i men’s volleyball team wrapped up its trip to the state of North Carolina with a 3-0 win over Queens (NC) on Saturday at the Levine Center. Set scores were 25-7, 25-16, 25-10. The victory gives the Rainbow Warriors (8-0) their best start to a season under head coach Charlie Wade. Full Story


5. Defense Leads Aggies To 61-57 Victory At UCSB

A three from senior psychology major AJ John turned a one-point deficit into a two-point lead with 3:18 remaining in Saturday’s Big West Conference game at the Thunderdome, junior economics major Joe Mooney drilled a straightaway three from NBA distance, with 1:24 remaining to break a 53-53 tie and give his team the lead for good, and senior communication major TJ Shorts II scored his team’s last four points at the free throw line help UC Davis defeat UC Santa Barbara , 61-57, in ESPNU’s nationally televised broadcast.
