Smith Claims Second Career Women's Basketball Weekly Honor

Senior Daeja Smith recorded her second career Big West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week accolade, notching two double-doubles to help Cal State Fullerton split a pair of games in the Pacific Northwest.

• Smith averaged 20.0 points and 13.0 rebounds as the Titans won a tight game at Seattle and fell in a hard fought battle to Washington.

• The 6-foot-3 center had 18 points and 12 rebounds to help the Titans defeat the Redhawks, 57-54.  She scored six points during a decisive 11-0 run over the final five minutes as a key to victory.

• Smith equalled her career high with 22 points to go along with 14 rebounds – both game-highs in an 83-74 loss to the Huskies.

• Smith shot 60.7% (17-of-28) from the floor over the two games, and nine of her 26 boards came on the offensive end.

• She also tallied one steal in each contest.

• Smith became the 11th Titan in school history to climb above both the 800-point career mark and 600-career rebound plateau.
