Baham, Bertsch Earn Women's Soccer Weekly Honors
Noel Baham and Morgan Bertsch each made the women’s soccer weekly honor roll for the second time in their careers Monday.
Baham Helps ‘Eaters Gain Four Points
Senior Noel Baham (Redlands, Calif./Santa Clara) helped UC Irvine stay unbeaten in conference play as she picked up her second career Big West Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award.
After taking just one shot in a scoreless draw against Long Beach State on Thursday, Baham peppered the Hawai‘i defense with seven shots in Sunday’s 3-2 win in Honolulu.
Baham converted her fifth goal of the season in the 38th minute to tie the score at 2-2. She then recorded the game-winning assist, her conference-leading sixth helper of the year, in the 72nd minute as her low cross found Kiana Palacios for the volley style goal.
Baham’s 16 points leads the Anteaters. Meanwhile, she totaled her 19th career assist and reached the 40-point milestone.
