Kehauoha, Bolko, Rodriguez Earn Women's Volleyball Honors
Harlee Kekauoha spearheads the list of women’s volleyball weekly honorees as she has helped UC Irvine to a school record 12-1 start.
Kekauoha Helps UC Irvine Post 4-0 Record
UC Irvine junior Harlee Kekauoha (Long Beach, Calif./Wilson HS) hit .448 over four victories, garnering Big West Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week accolades.
The 6-0 opposite averaged 3.83 kills and 2.75 digs as the Anteaters swept Fresno State, Montana State, San Francisco and CSU Bakersfield. UCI has won six straight contests, including five in a row by sweep.
At 12-1 overall, the Anteaters are enjoying the best start in program history.
Kekauoha hit no worse than .348 in any of the four matches. She swung at a .650 clip with 13 kills and no errors in 20 attempts against the Roadrunners.
She started the week off with a double-double of 14 kills and 12 digs versus the Bulldogs. She hit .357 (14-4-28) against Fresno State to go along with a season-best four aces.
Kekauoha had nine kills, seven digs, six assists and an ace against Montana State. Against San Francisco, she tallied 10 kills, nine assists, two aces and five digs. She had just seven errors in 87 attempts over the four contests.

Bolko Earns All-Tourney Honors in Texas
UC Davis junior Malia Bolko (Benicia, Calif./St. Patrick-St. Vincent HS) claimed all-tournament honors at UT Arlington’s Maverick Classic with 5.80 digs per set, posting her second straight Big West Women’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week honor.
It was also the fifth career award for the libero.
Bolko compiled 58 digs over 10 sets as the Aggies defeated the host Mavericks (3-1), Lamar (3-0) and Houston Baptist (3-0). UC Davis finished second to Arizona State due to the total set scores tiebreaker (242-198 to 242-199).
Bolko had 26 digs against UT Arlington, marking the fifth straight match with 20 or more.
She followed that up with 15 digs against Lamar and 17 versus Houston Baptist. She also dished out nine assists to go along with an ace in the tourney finale. With 1,108 career digs, she needs just five to move into seventh in school history.

Rodriguez Leads Highlanders at Denver Invitational
UC Riverside libero Nicole Rodriguez (Montebello, Calif./Maranatha HS) led the team with 46 digs over three matches to collect Big West Women’s Volleyball Freshman of the Week accolades.
She averaged 4.18 digs per set at the Denver Invitational, helping the Highlanders to a 1-2 record.
Rodriguez tied her career high with 23 digs in a 3-2 thriller over San Diego State. It marked the first time since Sept. 3, 2005 that UCR had defeated the Aztecs.
The defensive stalwart produced 13 digs against Denver and 10 more versus Gonzaga in a pair of 3-0 defeats.
Rodriguez also had three aces against San Diego State and two versus Denver.
