AGGIES CLIMB FOUR SPOTS
After defeating No. 19 UC Santa Barbara 9-6 and No. 20 Harvard 10-6 last weekend, UC Davis climbed four spots in the national polls for a top-10 ranking at No. 10. This is the highest ranking for the Aggies this season. Junior center Greta Kohlmoos netted three scores in those two contests to total a team-high 52 goals on the year. Junior Paige Virgil contributed offensively with three scores as well to bring her season total to 49.
GONZALES GETS IT DONE
Sophomore attacked Irene Gonzales recorded two hat tricks in Hawaii’s two contests this week to help the Rainbow Wahine go 1-1 through the Big West opening weekend. The ’Bows’ next league showdown will take place on March 30 with UC Santa Barbara.
NINE WEEKS RANKED
For the 18th-straight week, dating back to March 16, 2016, all six Big West programs have appeared in the top-25 as determined by the Collegiate Water Polo Association’s national poll. UC Irvine remains the highest-ranked squad at No. 5 as of March 15
