Prince Helps Long Beach State To Road Win Over Pac-12 Club

Junior Roschon Prince (Long Beach, Calif./USC) played a key role in Long Beach State’s first road win over a Pac-12 opponent since 1995, earning Big West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week accolades.

The 6-6 forward posted his first double-double with 12 points and a career-high 12 rebounds in the 71-67 win over the Beavers.  Prince played a team-high 34 minutes and shot 4-of-7 from the field and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.

Prince hit two critical free throws in the final 10 seconds to seal the victory, putting the 49ers up 71-67 for the final margin.

He also added a career-high three steals to go along with one assist.

The victory was the third against a Pac-12 school in the Dan Monson era, joining USC and UCLA as opponents the 49ers have vanquished.

Others nominated: Aleks Abrams (Cal Poly); Lionheart Leslie (Cal State Fullerton); Chima Moneke (UC Davis); Eyassu Worku (UC Irvine)
