AROUND THE BIG WEST
ITS BEEN A WHILE
CSUN posted a come from behind victory against Fresno State last week, led by sophomore Channon Fluker’s 12 points and 19 rebounds off the bench. The victory was the first for the Matadors over the Bulldogs since November 18, 1978, snapping a 15-game losing skid. It also marked the first win in Fresno for the program since February 8, 1975.
HIGH SCORING AGGIES
UC Davis is off to a 3-0 start, leading the league in scoring at 84.0 points per game. The Aggies have scored 90+ points in back-to-back games, the first time the program has achieved the feat at the Division I level. The last time UCD scored 90+ points in consecutive games was in the 2003-04 season when the squad did it twice.

She recorded a career-high 31 points in a narrow loss to Sacramento State and poured in 22 points in a road loss to #9 UCLA.

NEARING GRAND STATUS
Barring unforeseen circumstances, four players are leading the charge into the 1,000-point club this season.
UC Riverside senior Simone DeCoud is tops on the list with 984 points, while Long Beach State senior Anna Kim (838) and Gilbert (805) should join the list by season’s end. Another player to keep an eye on is Verin (583) as she put up 544 points last year, her first with UCR after transferring from UNLV.
