Cal Poly's Peyton Bilo finished her sophomore campaign on a strong note, finishing in 23rd at the NCAA Championships.
Bilo was the lone Big West competitor to head to Terre Haute, Ind., as the 2016 Big West Athlete of the Year finished the 6K course at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in 20:14.4. The finish also clinched All-America honors for Bilo to add to her conference honor and All-Region accolades.
During the regular season Bilo finished no lower than third in any race, earning Big West Athlete of the Week accolades on four occasions includuing for her performance at the Pre-Nationals meet (3rd - 20:11.5). She also capped the season with the Big West Athlete of the Year honors.
