Francis Makes First Goal of Season Count
Senior Savannah Francis (La Mirada, Calif./La Serna HS) recorded the game-winning goal, her first of the season, to improve UC Santa Barbara to 9-1 on the year in a Big West Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week performance.
Francis, who previously scored a pair of goals in 2014, received a pass from freshman Shaelan Murison, dribbled through traffic and deposited a shot to the left side to give the Gauchos a 3-1 lead in the 55th minute over Pacific.
The Gauchos ultimately won the game, 3-2.
