Hsu Records Unblemished Weekend


CSUN junior Mickey Hsu (Taipei, Taiwan/Taipei First Girls HS) had a strong weekend in both singles and doubles to earn Big West Women’s Tennis Athlete of the Week accolades.  This is Hsu’s second weekly honor this season.

The junior posted a perfect record in a pair of CSUN victories and won her No. 1 singles matches in straight sets, downing opponents from Cal Poly and Connecticut.  Partnered with Kristen Poei, the tandem claimed both of the No. 1 doubles matches and improved to 6-7 overall and 1-1 in league.  After her dominating singles’ performances, the junior improved to 8-6 overall and 2-1 in the Big West.

Hsu has now won four of her last six matches and three of the past four doubles matches.  The junior has also contributed to CSUN winning three of its last four matches.
