RAINBOW WAHINE CONTINUE TO SHINE
Hawai‘i recorded its second 5-1 weekend on the season, now just having dropped its only two contests to No. 2 UCLA and No. 17 Hartwick. The Rainbow Wahine have six Ws versus ranked oppnents, a feat only accomplished by a single additional Big West team in UC Santa Barbara whose six wins this year have all come versus top-25 squads. IN THE POLLS
With all six Big West programs in the top 25 in the Collegiate Water Polo Association in its fifth poll on the year, this marks the 42nd week that all teams in league have been ranked, including preseason polls dating back to May 15, 2013. The most recent team to drop out of the Top 25 was Pacific whose last season competing in the Big West was the same year. Hawai‘i remains in the top 10 in the poll as UC Davis jumped
a spot from the previous week as the two highest-ranked teams in the Big West pull in a No. 7 rank.
Five Big West teams will represent the league at the Triton Invitational this weekend in La Jolla, California. The Rainbow Wahine return to the pool on Feb. 25.
