Yap Shoots Career Low In Hawai'i


Cal Poly sophomore Jesse Yap (Singapore/Anglo-Chinese School) produced a career-best performance at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational to capture the Big West Men’s Golfer of the Month award for November.

Yap tied for 14th place among 92 participants with a career-best 5-under par 211 on the 7,223-yard par-72 course.  He shot a career-low 67 in the second round.

His total of 137 (70-67) for the first two rounds are No. 7 all-time at Cal Poly.  He helped the Mustangs finish in fifth place in the 17-team field.

Yap now leads the Mustangs with his 70.7 scoring average.
