A trio of UC Irvine athletes highlighted the selection of the final Big West Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards for the 2015 season.

UC Irvine sophomore Lloyd Sicard (Gardena, Calif./Serra HS) earned Big West Men’s Track Athlete of the Week after breaking a school record in the 110-meter hurdles that had stood for 32 years.  Sicard won the event in 13.79 seconds at the adidas/Steve Scott Invitational.  The time ranks No. 1 in the Big West and 10th in the West Region for the 110m hurdles this season.  He finished third in the 400-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 51.77 seconds, which ranks third in the Big West.  Sicard also participated on the second leg of UCI’s 4x400 relay team that placed second with a season-best time of 3:13.51.
