Irvine Opens Conference Undefeated
While UC Irvine opened its conference slate with a perfect 2-0 record, the Anteaters could clinch the regular season title with a pair of wins coupled with a single Long Beach State loss in either of its matches.
Anteaters McKenna Mitchell and Danielle Warde continue to break into the record books in their senior seasons. Mitchell’s 122 goals rank 11th all-time while Warde’s 191 career scores stand at fifth-most in Irvine history.
Hawai‘i Hits The Road
Hawai‘i wraps up regular season play with a three games on the road including matches versus UC Irvine, Long Beach State and Occidental. The Rainbow Wahine, who currently sit in second place just behind the Anteaters in the conference standings, will then return home to host the Big West Championship from April 24-26. The ’Bows lead the all-time series over UCI with a 14-6 advantage despite falling to Irvine on Feb. 22, their last meeting, by a single point (3-2).
