Meanwhile Cal Poly, Long Beach State, UC Davis and UC Santa Barbara will head to one of the biggest meets in the nation in the Pre-National Invitational. The meet will take place on LaVern Gibson National Championship Cross Country Course, the same course that will host the NCAA Championships in November.
Three squads will also compete in the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational. Cal Poly, UCD, UCSB and Hawai’i will be the Big West clubs in action.
• UC Irvine competed in the 25th annual Vanguard Invitational last weekend, with the men finishing in second and the women coming in sixth.
