Cal Poly became the first seventh-seed to defeat a top-seed in the Big West Tournament after downing UC Irvine, 61-58, in the semifinals of the 2014 Big West Men's Basketball Tournament tonight at Honda Center. The Mustangs, who were lead by Dave Nwaba and Chris Eversly, who each drained 14 points. advance to the championship game for just the third time.
Tipoff for the championship game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
