Central Coast Standouts Tabbed Cross Country Athletes of the Week
Cal Poly senior Sean Davidson and UC Santa Barbara junior Daniella Moreno each claimed Big West Men's and Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week accolades for the second time this season.
Davidson Finishes In Top 20 At Pre-Nationals
Sean Davidson (Simi Valley, Calif./Royal HS) finished 17th among a field of 359 runners to lead Cal Poly at the Indiana State Pre-National Invitational and earn Big West Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week accolades.
The senior traversed the 8,000-meter LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in 23:47.92 to lead the Mustang contingent. He helped Cal Poly to a 12th-place finish in a loaded 52-team field.
This is the second straight Athlete of the Week honor for Davidson, who placed second at the NCAA West Regional Preview in Sacramento with an 8K time of 23:30 on October 4.

Moreno Posts Fourth Place Finish At Bronco Invitational
Daniella Moreno (Downey, Calif./Warren HS) paced UC Santa Barbara with a fourth place finish at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational, garnering Big West Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week recognition.
The junior clocked a 20:29.3 on the 6,000-meter Baylands Park course as she helped the Gauchos to a runner-up finish in the 19-team field. Moreno recorded her fourth top-10 finish, and appeared in the top five for the third time this season. She has posted UCSB's top time in all four meets.
