Tickets are now on sale for the 2012 Anaheim Classic – held Thanksgiving weekend, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Nov. 22, 23 & 25, at the Anaheim (Calif.) Convention Center, adjacent to Disneyland. The eight-team field includes Cal, Drake, Drexel, Georgia Tech, Pacific, Rice, Saint Mary’s and Xavier. Six of the eight teams advanced to 2012 postseason play, including Cal, Saint Mary’s and Xavier in the NCAA Championship.
Fans can purchase tickets to all five sessions (12 games) for $45 each as part of an early bird special now through Wednesday, Sept. 19 and for $90 leading up to the event. Single-session tickets (two games) are available for $20 each. Tickets can be purchased at the Anaheim Convention Center box office at (714) 765-8950 or at Ticketmaster.com.
The classic will feature 12 games through three days. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through a bracket-tournament format. The two teams that remain undefeated will face off in a championship game Sunday, Nov. 25. The Big West will again serve as the event’s hosting conference.
