Long Beach State swept a Big West Conference softball doubleheader Saturday beating UC Riverside 10-4 and 1-0 to remain in a first-place tie in the league standings.

Pacific Uses A Pair Of One Run Wins To Sweep Cal Poly In The Series Doubleheader

Behind a pair of complete games and a pair of timely home runs, the Pacific softball team swept Cal Poly in the opening doubleheader of their Big West series on Saturday, April 28.  The Tigers took game one 2-1 before capturing game two 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.  The pair of wins kept the Tigers at the top of the standings in the Big West at 10-4 and 31-16 overall while the Mustangs fell to 4-10 in the conference 12-30 on the year.

Schulze Leads Aggies In Doubleheader Sweep Over Gauchos

Kelly Schulze had a pair of RBI doubles in game one and the game-winning hit in game two to help the UC Davis softball team take a doubleheader sweep after a 4-2 win and a 4-3 victory in nine innings against UC Santa Barbara on Saturday at La Rue Field.

Matadors and Titans Split Saturday Twinbill

The Cal State Northridge softball team (10-35, 5-9 Big West) split a Big West Conferene doubleheader with Cal State Fullerton Saturday afternoon at Matador Diamond. In game one, CSUN slugged its way to a 5-2 victory behind four doubles, a home run and a solid pitching performance from Mia Pagano. In game two, Mikayla Thielges hit her seventh home run of the season to give CSUN an early lead, but the Titans responded with three home runs of their own to take a 7-2 victory.
