The UC Riverside softball team combined to score 13 runs as they swept a doubleheader at Cal State Fullerton on Saturday evening, 6-5 and 7-5, in Big West action at Anderson Field.

Pacific Roughs Up Wisdom To Earn A Split At UCSB
After a rough start to their day, the Tigers rebounded to earn the split at UC Santa Barbara on Saturday, April 21. The Tigers dropped a 2-1 (8 inn.) decision to the Gauchos to start their day before grabbing the second game 6-2. The split kept the Tigers in the lead in the Big West at 8-3 in conference play while the Gauchos stayed a game back of Pacific at 7-4 in the Big West.

Matadors Rally for Doubleheader Split against Long Beach State
The Cal State Northridge softball team (9-33, 4-7 Big West) split a Big West doubleheader with Long Beach State Saturday afternoon. In game one, CSUN lost a seesaw battle with the 49ers, 4-3, before rallying behind starter Shelly Tait to take a walk-off 2-1 victory in the second game.

Vela Shutout Leads Aggies In Split At Cal Poly
Justine Vela tossed a three-hit shutout in game one, complete with 10 strikeouts to lead the UC Davis softball team in a 4-0 win at Cal Poly before the Mustangs bounced back with a 7-2 game two victory on Saturday at Bob Janssen Field.
