Conference play kicks off for baseball, softball and women's water polo this week. As the calendar turns on another month, a little over three weeks remain until the first championship of the spring season, with the Big West Women's Golf Championship April 22-24 in San Luis Obispo.
Baseball
Conference play begins this weekend with Cal Poly owning the best record in the Big West at 16-8 entering the week, followed by preseason favorites Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine at 14-8.
Once again, select home contests will be broadcast by institutions on BigWest.TV, the conference's video streaming initiative in partnership with CBS College Sports.

Softball
The race for the Big West crown begins this weekend with defending Big West champs Pacific entering the week with a conference-best 18-11 record, followed by surprising UC Riverside at 15-15.

Cal Poly hosts Pacific in a key men's match and UC Irvine welcomes Cal State Northridge in an important women's match as the conference tennis schedule heats up going down the home stretch.

The Cal-Nevada Championships dominate the schedule with Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Long Beach State, UC Irvine, UC Riverside & UC Santa Barbara all traveling to Claremont.

Preseason favorite UC Irvine owns the best non-conference record heading into the first weekend of conference play at 17-5, followed by UC Santa Barbara at 14-11 and UC Davis at 12-11 and riding a seven-match win streak.
